Songs
The singing of Beta songs is a cherished tradition in Alpha Nu. Every year, we teach our new members several Beta classics, some sung much like the recordings that are uploaded to our site. These songs were recorded by Alpha Nu’s at a downtown Lawrence recording studio sometime in the 1960’s.
A few of these songs are unique to Alpha Nu, and not a part of the larger Beta repertoire. The Turkey Pull Song is sung only once a year at the annual Beta Turkey Pull, a tradition dating back to 1883. Hang Jeff Davis is an adapted version of an old Civil War marching song. The Alpha Nu Song is our very own fight song.
